Being a Police Dog Handler

A 1 hour lesson mainly aimed at KS2 but can also be adapted and changed to accommodate KS1 if this is a requirement.

This lesson helps the children to consider career goals and aspirations, by discussing the role of a police dog handler using a PowerPoint Presentation containing video footage and images the children can explore in more detail how the police dogs are selected, trained and work for the police and discover more about what it is like to be a police dog handler.

At the end of the lesson the children will be able to meet police dogs Jet and Ben.
